What are some of the best hostels in Bangkok and Phuket?

In Bangkok we stayed at Buddy Lodge on Kao San Road. It was a nice place and cheap, however we stayed in the room closest to the road and it was really loud all night long, so if you could request a room further back from the road it would be better. Kao San Road is really the best place to stay if you want to meet people and have fun because its always so busy and theres lots of backpackers, and you feel safe there.
