Help me with my eighth grade graduation speech?

Just off hand, you need to address the people you are speaking to, but then get exciting. A quote is a rather drab way to start a speech. But you could put it at the end.It needs some transitional words and phrases to create a better flow. Funny anecdotes? Ask for audience involvement? (maybe yuou will think this informal) but you could ask that they raise their hands if........
