Which is a nicer country to visit: Thailand or India?

I've never been to either but you must ask yourself what your preferences are? My best friend is Thai and from the stories I've heard, Thailand is a very tranquille place. India, from what I've heard, is an easy place to fall ill (ie with travellers' diarrhea) due to the food and water. (Obviously, anyone anywhere can catch a bad case of the runs, but definitely more so in India). However, both must be beautiful. Just ask yourself what kind of adventure you're seeking. Personally, I'd like to see both countries but with India, I get the feeling that you must really prepared for that place. The poverty, the millions of people, illness, honor killings. Im sure there are places where you don't see those things but lets face it. India is a shocker.
